The Problem: Why Wellness Comes Second (But Matters Most)
You can have the perfect nutrition protocol and a personalized fitness plan—but if your stress response is running the show, none of it will stick.
High-performers don't fail because they lack the right plan. They fail because stress hijacks their decision-making before they even realize it.
The reactive loop looks like this:
You get bad news → your mind spirals into "Why me?" → you skip the workout, abandon the meal plan, reach for comfort instead of clarity.
Someone pressures you → you say yes to keep the peace → you override your body's signals → you lose trust in yourself.
The What Now? Method™ breaks that loop—manually overriding your stress response so you can respond from clarity instead of reacting from fear.
Social pressure:
Ask "Why do you ask?" to stop the internal retreat.
Life crisis:
Halt the "Why me?" and ask okay..."what now?" to shift your power back.
This is cognitive reframing.
Inhale for 2 and say or think "Let"
Hold for 2
Exhale for 6 and say or think "Go"
Repeat once or twice.
This de-escalates the stress response.
When you're ready, ask:
What now?
This isn't just a question. It's the catalyst that moves you from reactive to responsive.
Pillar 1 (Health) gives you the right fuel.
Pillar 2 (Wellness) teaches you how to stay in the driver's seat.
Pillar 3 (Fitness) builds the capacity to sustain it
The What Now? Method™ is the cognitive anchor of Pillar 2. You'll learn it early in the program and use it throughout—in hard conversations, stressful moments, decision points, and any time you feel the pull to shrink or retreat.
It's not about "managing stress." It's about reclaiming the seconds between stimulus and response—so you can choose your next move instead of defaulting to old patterns.
High-performers don't fail because they lack discipline or motivation. They fail because of a physiological loop. The What Now? Method™ manually overrides your stress response—moving you from the reactive amygdala to the strategic executive center of your mind in seconds.
Inside VLM:
When you're tempted to abandon your protocol after a bad day
When someone challenges your new boundaries
When old habits try to pull you back
When doubt creeps in and you question whether this will work for you
Outside VLM:
In the boardroom when a colleague oversteps
At the doctor's office when receiving difficult news
In family dynamics when you feel pressure to revert to old roles
In the aftermath of a setback when the "Why me?" spiral begins

This method was born in crisis.
October 2017. I was boarding a flight home when I heard my doctor say "the biopsy confirms stage 2 metastatic breast cancer."
The loudest thought in my head was not facing my own mortality, it was "How do I tell my 12-year-old daughter her mom has cancer?"
I spent that flight wallowing in self-pity asking over and over "Why me?"—stuck in the past, spiraling.
By the time I landed, I started asking a different question: okay..."What now?"
That question became my lifeline through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, 28 radiation treatments and 14 surgeries in less than 4 years. It moved me from being a victim of the diagnosis to the CEO of my recovery.
Years later, I formalized it into a repeatable system—because the cognitive pivot that saved my life can be taught, practiced, and integrated into yours.
